Steve A. Smith will presented “My Fake News is Your Truth – Welcome to the Twilight (Zone) of the American Press” at the League of Women Voters, Moscow forum in the Great Room of Moscow's 1912 Community Center Great Room.

Smith is clinical assistant professor in the School of Journalism and Mass Media at the University of Idaho.

A veteran news professional of 38 years, Smith last served as editor of The Spokesman-Review, the daily newspaper in Spokane.

He is a graduate of the Northwestern University Newspaper Management Center Advanced Executive Program and a mid-career development program at Duke University. He holds an M.A. in communication from The Ohio State University where he was a Kiplinger fellow and a B.S. in journalism from the University of Oregon.
