1912 Community Center (Moscow, Idaho)
Jerrold "Jerry" Long discussed "Natural Resources and Environmental Law in the Trump Era" at the League of Women Voters of Moscow forum in the Fiske Room of the 1912 Community Center.
Although the Constitution gives Congress the primary responsibility to craft the nation’s natural resources management and environmental protection laws, the executive branch’s implementation authority can shape how those laws play out. Without any changes to the underlying legal regimes, the Trump administration has already significantly changed the nation’s approach to the natural environment in a number of areas, including how we address climate change, water pollution, public lands management and energy development. Long will share his perspective on the most significant of these changes, with the aim of understanding their consequences on the ground.
